We hope this newsletter finds you well. This is our latest report on our tennis social project. Thanks to your continued support, we have been able to make this project a reality and continue to support the children. We are pleased to share with you the progress we have made over the last few months. Below you will find the most important activities and information that we would like to share with you.

1.   Recent Activities:

• Since TDKET has received a budget, it has regularly provided lunch for the children.

•  Our girls, Sara and Mekdes, traveled to Rwanda to participate in the ITF BILLIE JEAN KING CUP GAINBRIDGE AFRICA GROUP 4 from June 10-15, 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda.
• TDKET children participated in the “Addis Open Tennis Tournament” in different categories which ended on June 2, 2024 here in Addis Ababa. As a result, our children won 9 trophies

• Thanks to Tariku's efforts, an organization has agreed to donate four computers to us, which will be used for the education of our children and young people.
• Last but not least ---- volunteer students from the German School came to TDKET for two weeks in May 2024 and supported our children with tutoring.

2. Activities implemented but not shared with you:

A.   Match with the diplomats of British Embassy

The British Embassy in Ethiopia invited TDKET to take part in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an event aimed at working together to combat gender-based violence in all its forms and empower girls. TDKET accepted the invitation and took part in the tennis matches. On the day, the girls' and boys' teams from TDKET played friendly matches against the diplomats from the British Embassy

B. Our children participated in the East African junior championships

Three of our children took part in a championship that took place in Bujumbura, Burundi, in January 2024. Three of them successfully completed their competition.
